Instead of distributing these functions across multiple systems, climatechfacade (CTF) handles thermal performance where it occurs – at the facade.

Thermal loads are handled at the facade – not inside the building.

The climatechfacade (CTF) integrates heating, cooling and solar shading directly into the building envelope.
Instead of distributing these functions across multiple systems, CTF handles thermal performance
where it occurs – at the facade.

Solar heat is removed before
it enters the room.
Outdoor cold is tempered before
reaching the interior.
sunshading is operable
at all times.
CTF uses existing heating and cooling circuits and manages thermal energy directly within the facade before it enters the building.

No distribution across the building.
No delayed response.

Inside the facade

Each CTF module is a prefabricated facade element with integrated heating, cooling and shading system components.

The heat exchanger conditions the air inside the facade for heating or cooling the room.
The cross-flow fan moves this air evenly along the glass surface within the facade module.
The conditioned air transfers energy to the room via the room side glazing.
The glass surface conditions the room temperature via radiation.
energy is delivered via controlled surface temperature
reduced HVAC load for the entire building
uniform temperature directly at the facade
no cold downdraft
no hotspots
no overheating
less energy consumption
consistent solar control
Shading system is positioned inside the facade.
Protected from wind and weather.
Fully operable at all times.
Reliable solar control – independent of external conditions.
solar energy is used, not rejected
Solar energy is captured at the facade.
Transferred via the heat exchanger.
Fed into the building's energy system.
Available for heating, storage, or distribution where needed.

Frequently asked

Learn how climatechfacade improves building performance.

Is climatechfacade more cost-effective than a traditional facade with separate HVAC and shading systems?

Yes. climatechfacade combines heating, cooling and solar shading in a single facade system. By reducing technical interfaces, coordination effort and duplicated building services infrastructure, projects can lower lifecycle costs while simplifying execution.

Can CTF connect to existing heating and cooling systems?

Yes. Climatechfacade can connect to existing heating and cooling networks and works alongside established building services infrastructure.

Is climatechfacade a proven technology?

Yes. climatechfacade is built using established facade, heating, cooling and control technologies. The innovation comes from integrating these functions into a single coordinated facade system.
